Description

These one-handed nail clippers are ideal for people with a limb difference or one-sided weakness, such as stroke survivors.

Personal care is personal. These one-handed nail clippers can enable you to cut your nails independently. No need to rely on family to do it for you, or pay for a professional manicure.

How to use your one-handed nail clippers

Your new nail clippers will arrive flat, you will need to open them out for use. Follow the simple assembly instructions which come with your nail clippers:

  1. Open the metal nail clippers as you usually would.
  2. Place the included nail clippers onto the plastic adaptation. The slot is the perfect size and shape for them.
  3. Hold the rounded end of the adaptation steady, and rotate the other end anti-clockwise

Once your nail clippers are ready to use, simply put your nail in place and push down with your hand. Now you can cut your nails one-handed!

If this is not the right nail-cutting solution for you, why not check out our alternatives? These push-down Table Top Nail Clippers are ideal if you have reduced hand function in both hands. These Long-Reach Nail Scissors are great for cutting toe nails if you have limited mobility.

Really good design – someone obviously understands the constraints in having limited finger strength and grip

I have nerve damage in both hands, and that causes my fingers to curl. The problem that I have with this is that the nail trimmer is halfway down the gadget, and I have a hard time getting my fingers lined up correctly. If I am able to get my nails aligned correctly, then it’s easy to trim, but it’s always a challenge to get my nails lined up. I can only trim some of my fingernails with this. For me, my thumbnails are impossible to trim. Also, if the rounded bit in front was not there, it would be so much easier to use.

Was it worth purchasing? Yes, it was, because with it, I can trim eight out of my ten fingernails, but if there could be a design change, I would really appreciate it even more.
