EasyPee-sy Catheter Tool

Description

We have designed the EasyPee-sy Catheter Tool to assist you with catheterising. It assists those who need to regularly catheterise but struggle to do this independently because of reduced hand function. This intimate personal care task can be difficult at the best of times with reduced hand function. And, it can be impossible or prohibitively time consuming!

You can use this tool to grip the “funnel” section of most types of male and female catheters. The ergonomic angle of the jaws assists with positioning the catheter to help with insertion and removal. Open the tool to grip the catheter by pushing the two sides together. Alternatively, place the tool on a surface or your leg and push down to open the jaws before inserting the catheter into position.

The catheter tool’s spring-loaded jaw is strong enough to grip most catheter types to hold and perform the task. Yet, the grip is not so tight that that the catheter tube is squashed. The jaws feature two notches of different sizes to allow for variations in catheter designs. Use the smaller notch around the tube itself under the neck of the funnel to make catheter removal easier.

You can swap the Velcro hand strap over for left or right handed use. Or choose to purchase one set up in the correct direction for you (the process of swapping it requires good hand function).

Please note this item is not a sterile item and therefore should only be used on areas of the catheter that will not be inserted into the body. Wash your catheter tool regularly with hot soapy water or clean it with antibacterial spray/wipes to reduce infection risk. 

We made the device from PETG, as it is non-porous and so you can wash it.
