Looped aids are sold as a pair.

Our prices are displayed without VAT (sales tax) because many of you benefit from an exemption from VAT for the disabled.

For customers in the UK, VAT will be added at checkout if you are not exempt. A small number of products are not exempt from VAT - see the description of each item.

Recipients of deliveries made outside the UK may have to pay import duty or formal customs entry. Any such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

Ideal for the gym, Looped exercise aids feature strong loops which can be slipped over the handles of some exercise machines, e.g. ‘pull down bars’ and rowing machines. Or, if you prefer the great outdoors, they’re also an essential extra for some hand bikes. Looped aids feature adjustable padded wrist straps to prevent chafing.

Designed for solo use, Looped exercise aids easily slide on and off your machine or hand bike when not under tension, allowing complete individual independence and the ability to ‘let go’ during rest periods. With an improved design incorporating tougher loops, our aids are even easier to slip on and off your equipment. Download our Looped aid instructions leaflet to see how to put the aids on.

“I use the Looped aid when I row in my single (one-person boat), or when I use the erg (rowing machine). When rowing in my single, I have to hold an oar in each hand. With only a thumb and a crooked pinky finger, I cannot grip the oar and pull with full force: I tape the loop part of the gripping aid on the oar so that it doesn’t rotate, and attach the grip aid to my wrist. I can then pull as hard as I want.” –Véronique Boucher

Looped exercise aids come in small/standard or large and are sold as a pair.

Active Hands aids are both kind to the skin and made to last. Built from tough webbing and comfortable but durable neoprene they’re designed to withstand regular use, even for strenuous activities. All aids are machine washable.

A total game changer. I have chronic rheumatoid arthritis, and can’t grip (I also shouldn’t grip). These aids mean I can now use a rowing machine at the gym, for the first time in 18 years! It’s allowed me to use a far wider range of equipment for the upper body, and the design makes this so easy to adapt gym equipment.
