This black rubber is designed to be added to the gloves of wheelchair rugby players to improve grip on the push rims while playing. The rubber has a very high grip composition with a lightly textured surface. It is particularly useful for those who push with the back of their hand.

It is 4mm thick and is the same material as the red version that many rugby players currently use, from the same supplier. The only difference is the colour – our rubber is black.
The wheelchair rugby rubber is different to the wheelchair racing rubber that we also sell. This rubber provides higher grip than the racing rubber, it is slightly thicker but is not suitable for wheelchair racing as it will wear too quickly when used on wheelchair racing gloves. It does, however, work really well for wheelchair rugby!
The product comes in a square sheet 230mm by 230mm. You can sew the rubber to your gloves, we recommend using a sewing machine to do this as it will be difficult to sew by hand.
Keep an eye out for our wheelchair rugby gloves that are coming soon. The gloves are designed for quads to use and allow back and forehand pushing. They are in the final stages of development.
