My husband finds them very useful as some he found some of the arthritic cutlery we have previously bought have forks that are very flat, making them difficult to use. The flexible grip handles fit a wide range of cutlery designs and it is good to be able to use our own cutlery with these handles and they are ideal for taking out. The only drawback is that it is quite difficult to get the knife out of the handle grip after use.
