The Ball Pencil Grip makes holding a pen, pencil or felt-tips easier by giving you a chunky ball to hold on to. For those with reduced hand function having a larger area of pen to hold on to can make a difference.

The Pencil Grip is specially designed to promote proper finger positioning during writing tasks. A proper grip not only encourages fine motor development, but it also improves handwriting legibility. The round shape of the grip serves as a tactile cue for the fingers to grasp around. The fingers “hug” the grip, and the fingertips rest just below the ball on the pencil. In this position, it opens up the web space, provides support to the finger muscles, and can help decrease hyperextension.

Perfect for both left and right-handed individuals for writing and drawing activities, the grip can be used with standard pencils, most crayons, most pens. At a diameter of 2.5cm (1 inch), this grip is recommended for children and young adults.

Sold in packs of two.

If you are not able to hold a pen in this way then our small item gripping aid can hold the pen for you. It allows you to position the pen at any angle you like for writing or painting on an easel or at a desk.
